2024 M-pact Vocal Festival
The M-PACT VOCAL FESTIVAL is a non-competitive festival where vocal jazz ensembles, contemporary a cappella groups and other small choral ensembles have the opportunity to work hands-on with members of m-pact.
For 2024, we're excited to return to a 2-day format! This year's festival will be held December 5-6 in the Kansas City Kansas Community College performing arts center.

Thank you! It seems like we've been teasing this new album for about 5 years 😳 BUT...we're completing tracking on the album this month, and then mixing next month. So, it'll be out later this year for sure. And, we're convinced it will be worth the wait :-)

Actually, you are both partially correct. This arrangement was originally recorded by BaSix. It was arranged BY former m-pact band member Britt Quentin, who BaSix commissioned to write & produce the chart for their album "Embodiment". Although BaSix recorded this arrangement, it never became part of their live shows. Meanwhile, m-pact decided to start performing it around 2008, when we were looking for a new uptempo song to add to our set. We've been performing it (at nearly every concert) ever since then. We also did a studio recording, which was released on our 2018 album "Wonderful World". So, that's the history!

I'm going through a massive health crisis. Almost died in 2021 from an artery bursting in my sinuses. I've had over 12 surgeries in the past 11 years. I saw God. To nay sayers, I am ok with any opinion. I'm tired of being sick and down. Singing helps. I have no tissue in my right ear so I'm legally deaf and because of brain trauma inoperable. I'm reaching out. I just want to sing and have my voice heard.

I remember the OGs, back when I was singing in college ('96-'98) they came and worked with our group and, I got to run sound for their concert. This song still goes through my head regularly.

I never realized how much you guys mean to me until I actually watched this video. Seeing you guys my senior year of high school in Thornton, Colorado in 2008 really helped to lock in my love for vocal music.
